Happy Birthday

No, it's not my birthday, but I've been pretty poor lately, and a close friend's birthday is rapidly approaching. I figured Franks morning exercises would be the perfect opportunity to create her present:

I apologize for the picture quality, but my time was pretty limited today, so this will just have to do. I drew out a quick sketch of my friend's two french bulldogs, another photo I had taken of them rather spontaneously, and painted light washes of acrylic over it. It was a rather fast process since I was using rag paper. The absorption was pretty quick, which allowed me to lay down color without the risk of bleeding into other areas.

Now all I have to do is find a frame on sale, and the thoughtful gift is complete!
